About The Host

Brandy Blanton is the creator and publisher of Williamson County’s beloved Southern Exposure Magazine and your host for Southern Exposure LIVE.  Prior to starting SEM in 2002, Blanton worked in the restaurant industry for twelve years while raising her five children. With no experience in the magazine business, she ventured in armed only with a heart for her community and its people after living in Franklin for more than 30 years.

During the early years of the magazine, Blanton had the opportunity to interview the likes of Michael McDonald, Amy Grant, Tennessee Titan’s Head Coach Jeff Fisher, Wynonna, Vince Gill and more. While that task is now handled by SEM’s staff of talented writers, Southern Exposure LIVE allows Blanton to get back in the hot seat with her trademark conversational style.

A huge community advocate, Blanton has served on the boards of Mercy Children’s Clinic, the Williamson County Fair and the advisory board for Historic Carnton Plantation and is a graduate of Leadership Franklin (Class of 2007).
However, her biggest passion is her family: Nick (23), Samantha (22), Caitlin (20), Zac (12) and Emma (10).
